From Brent and Nicole

Hi Everyone! I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. We can't wait to be there with everyone. The kids can hardly stand the wait. What I think is so cute is that Jesse is looking forward to seeing Bobby again. She apparently made a connection with him when we saw all of you last July. I love when the kids look forward to spending time with their cousins because that means that they have family bonds beyond our own immediate little family.

Things here are good. We had a good Thanksgiving and hope that yours was good as well. We had a quite dinner here with my parents and then went to a ward family's home for pies. They have the tradition of making lots of pies and inviting friends over on Thanksgiving evening to visit and eat pie. They started this when they were living in Japan away from family for the holidays and when they moved back here to the states, they continued the tradition. They are a good family and we enjoyed spending time with everyone who helped to eat the 21 pies they made (one family actually brought 5 more making it 26 total pies).

I hope that your holiday was good and that you're having a great holiday weekend. We look forward to seeing you all in three weeks.

Love you!

Nicole

Clint's Surgery

I just thought I would let everyone know, Clint's shoulder surgery went fine. They shaved off the acromion hook, fixed a fray (partial tear) in his supraspinous, and cleaned out all the inflamed bursa tissue. They inserted a pain pump that continuously gives numbing meds directly to the shoulder, that will be in until Saturday. The surgery only took 2 hours. They kept him 5 hours after he woke up because he wasn't stabilizing. High blood pressure, fainting, nausea, etc. They let us go home around 8p.m. Then after I got him home he was awake every 45 minutes throwing up and needing to be readjusted until about 6 a.m. He woke up at 9 a.m. very hungry. He has been good since then. Just normal pain. Now he is more frustrated that he needs my help doing everything. He is not allowed to use the arm for 10 days, then he will have physical therapy.

Love, Jenny
